The dissertation is devoted to the research of the investment process and to the development of mechanisms of investment activity execution in agriculture under market reforms conditions. Factors that determine the level of investment activity based on the analysis of the modern theory of investment are investigated. New formula of investment volume under market reforms conditions is proposed. Economic structure of investments is improved. Modern peculiarity of assessment of economic effectiveness of investments is determined. Methodical approaches as for the determination of economic efficiency of investments and investment project realization are perfected. Influence of market reforms in economics on the investment process in agriculture is shown. Economical assessment of the fixed capital reproduction in the region is conducted. Potential sources of the investment process in the sphere of agriculture and their effectiveness is determined and pointed out. First mechanism of impartial and subjective assessment of investment projects is suggested. Economic effect from the realization of investment projects in agriculture is calculated.
