Essay

Object of investigation: amorphous multilayers structures (MS) based on chalcogenide semiconductors of As-S(Se,Te) systems and a -Si, a-Ge. Aim of studies: to study the change of optical and electrophysical properties of multilayer structures due to the photo- and thermodiffusion processes. Methods of investigation: electron- and atomic-force microscopy, x-ray diffraction, Raman scattering, measurements of optical, electrophysical parametrs and characteristics of amplitude optical recording. Scientific novelty of results: the possibility of effective photo- and thermostimulated structural transformations due to the interdiffusion in compositionally modulated MS with periods L=(4-50) nm, based on chalcogenide semiconductors of As-S(Se,Te) systems and a-Si, a-Ge is established. The correlation between the change of optical, electrophysical parametrs and structural transformations due to the diffusion processes is determined. Three possible components of laser illumination-caused processes in chalcogenideglass multilayer nanostructures are distinguished and the pathway for MS optimisation for amplitude optical recording and electrophotography is presented. Implantation: planned. Sphere of application: amplitude optical recording and electrophotography.
