Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of methods for aberration synthesis of optical systems. An improved technique has been proposed for optical systems design in the field of the third-order monochromatic aberrations and the first-order chromatic aberrations. The technique is based on solving sets of aberration inequalities. It is shown that mentioned technique can be generalized for aberration synthesis of both stable and varifocal multi-component optical systems, containing optical components with essential thickness. Main results of the dissertation were used when designing optical systems of adapters for television microscopy.
