Ardelyan M. Complex space-identifying sentences in the contemporary Ukrainian language

The thesis includes system multilevel analysis of space- identifying sentences, i.e. sentences with adverbial clauses of place, description of the peculiarities of their for-mal and semantic organization. The author came to the conclusion that position of these com-ponents in the structure of the sentence is obligatory irrespective whether it is substituted or not. It was proved that space correlate's position is stipulated by valency of the predicates of existence, location and movement in the leading clause of sentences. The detailed description of the related predicative lexemes and their different analogues was made. It was revealed that these Lexemes in constructions with this correlate and without it are semantically of the same type.
