The principles of the epileptogenic transformation of the hippocampus of mutant mice with genetically eliminated gene of phosphoinositide specific phospholipase C of b1 class (PLCb1-/-) as well as the role of the later in the processes of the intercellular interaction were investigated. Localization of the PLCb1 in the neural cells of the hippocampus was determined by immuno-histochemical methods. It was determined that an increase in the excitation in the neuron system of the gyrus dentate of PLCb1-/- -mice cause the neuron death in the layer of polymorphic cells by apoptosis and induce the neurogenesis of granular cells in the gyrus dentate. Regularities in the epileptogenic changes of the neurotransmitting profile of the dentate gyrus neurons in the hippocampus and their role in the temporal lobe epilepsy genesis, and the character of the epilepsy induced reprojection of mossy fibers were estimated. The probability of interplay between the PLCb1 activation and the process of neurosecretion was demonstrated
