Essay

The dissertation deals with the study of etiopathogenesis, clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of chronic pyelonephritis of pregnancy. It has been established that exacerbation of chronic pyelonephritis in pregnant women is accompanied by the activation of lipid peroxidation, the depression of the antioxidant system of defense and the indexes of cellular and humoral immunity as well as hormone and cytokine disbalance, the development of chronic placental insufficiency and signs of retarded fetation. On the basis of the made clinical and paraclinical examination the features of the pathogenetic course of chronic pyelonephritis have been established, the methods of the complex treatment of the pregnant women with the application of medical preparations Ginkgo and Livomin have been substantiated. These preparations increase the efficiency of treatment and decrease the incidence of complications during the pregnancy, delivery, and postnatal stage as well as those in the condition of the bothfetus and newborn.
