Boyarchuk O. The civil legal protection of neighbouring rights in Ukraine.

The thesis is dedicated to the research of legal nature of neighbouring rights, analysis of performer's rights, the rights of producers of phonograms, videograms and broadcast organizations. Neighbouring rights are considered to be a separate institution of the Right of Intellectual Property. Specific characteristics of neighbouring rights and creation criterion in the activity of subjects of neighbouring rights are defined. Definitions to the terms "neighbouring rights", "audiovisual product", "fixation", "record", "notification execution", "videogram" are given. The position of embracing such results of an intellectual creation into the sphere of neighbouring rights legal protection are justified alongwith, including audiovisual works, arranging, orchestration, opera, operetta and theatrics, the legal nature of which is analyzed by the thesis's author.
