Essay

The influences of different regiments of blood ozonation in vitro on morphofunctional features ofcells, main immuno-logical indexes, biochemical constants of plasma, blood gases balance and the system of haemostasis were investigated. It was found that processing the blood with ozone leads to oxy-gen destruction of blood cells, mostly - the red blood cells, activates the phagocytic activity and oxidizing processes in neutrophils, leads to decrease in C3 and C4 components of complement system, stimulates white blood cells for IL-1b production. Dose-dependent disturbances in blood haemosta-sis due to decreased number of platelets and their depressed aggregation have been shown. Safe concentrations of ozone for investigated regiments of blood ozonation, have been de-termined. Suggested haemolysis parameters and platelets ag-gregation tests were recommended for control in patients re-ceiving ozone therapy.
