Object: composite adjectives of poetic speech. The purpose: the analysis of structure of adjectives, principle of motivation of the epithet compatibility. Methods: perephrase, component analysis, definition of degrees of epithet compatibility motivation. Theoretical meaning: the functional approach to study of structure of compound adjectives is based. Practical value: the dictionary of the poetic word usage of adjectives is created. Actuality: discovering of the types of adjectives, establishing of the degrees of motivation.
