Object of the study: wound processes with various course. Purpose: To improve the efficacy of treatment of purulent inflammatory changes and to work out the measures to prevent surgical wound complica-tion on the basis of evaluation of eubiotics influence on the course and con-sequences of the wound process with determining objective criteria and the role of dysbiotic disorders of the intestine in development of purulent in-flammatory complications. Methods of investigation and equipment: Oncometric measurement, microbiological, cytomorphological, clinical and immunological studies. The following equipment was used: PC, photoelectrocolorimeter, micro-scope, burette, clock, microcalculator, scales. Theoretical and practical results: A complex of measures for treating purulent inflammatory diseases which provide adequate surgical interven-tions was suggested. Prognostic criteria for development of post-operative purulent inflammatory complications and evaluation of the character of the wound processcourse were worked out. Novelty: For the first time it has been shown that intestinal dysbacterio-sis affects wound process and is responsible for its unfavorable course. It has been determined that the prognostic criteria for possible develop-ment of wound complication is inhibition of the immune system activity and disturbances of its regulatory mechanisms. Degree of introduction: The results of the research have been used in the work of surgery departments of Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia Region, which is confirmed by the "Acts on Introduction". Field of application: Medicine, surgery.
