Korbych N. Technological and physiko-mechanikal properties of sheep wool of the Taurian type sheep of the Ascanian Merino breed of the Stud Farm "Ascania-Nova"

The aim of the research was the study of live-stock of the Taurin sheep of the Ascanian Merino breed with different kinds of productive qualities of wool cover, physiko-mechanical properties, chemical and technological properties of wool and yarn in the Stud Farm "Ascania-Nova". Systematic approach to wool types classification in account with wool properties was offered and a complex study of these indices was performed. It has been revealed that sheep with Australian and intermediate wool cover predominate over the animals with Ascanian wool cover in wool productivity and in other qualities. The use of sheep with the desired wool type will ensure the increase of wool cut for 0,1-0,7 kg and will improve the quality and technological properties of wool (the wool density for 7,3-33 % , bursting fiber loading for 0,1-0,8 c H/tex, spinning fitness for 0,9-1,9 km/kg). The results of the research have been used in the Stud Farm "Ascania- Nova"
