Essay

Object - phenomenon of resistance and virulence; aim - elucidation of paculiarities of resistance to Erysiphe graminis f. sp. tritici of the domestic sorts and of paculiarities of population of fungus in Ukraine; methods - analisis of literature, experiment, statistics; novelty - were determined unspecific of resistance of domestic sorts, major limiting factor for the pathogen, genetic similarities and distances between populations of fungus from different soil-climate zones, proved the sources of formation of subpopulation; results - resistance was estimated by four indexes, the most resistant sorts, effective resistance genes were identified, method for determination of sort resistance was proposed, race and genotype composition of population of fungus was analised; field of knowledge - agriculture, selective breeding, plant protection.
