Essay

The efficiency of synthetic neuropeptides Sandostatin(r) and Dalargin(r) in acute pancreatitis treatment was investigated. Electron-microscopic research of pancreas of 48 cats, which were treated by Dalargin(r) during experimental acute pancreatitis showed the improvement of blood and lymphatic capillaries ultrastructure, recovery of microcirculation and dilatation of the pancreatic lymphatic capillaries. Treatment of 142 patients with acute pancreatitis established, that neuropeptides, especially Dalargin(r), reduce endogenic intoxication, provide necrotizing centers restriction and abortive course of pancreonecrosis. Their application has allowed to reduce general mortality, to mean the time of stationary treatment, to reduce laparotomy quantity and percent of complications.
