The dissertation focuses on the problem of formation of legal awareness of future teachers at Teachers' Training College. In the paper the notion "legal awareness of future teacher" is defined more precisely. The research determines the criteria, indexes and level characteristics of legal awareness of students during their professional coming into being at the institutions of higher education. A special course "Actual problems of legal upbringing of pupils" is worked out. An pattern of the process of formation of students' legal awareness at Teachers' Training College is grounded and experimentally approved. It is found out under what social and pedagogical conditions this individual professional quality can be formed in the process of study of future specialists at the institutions of higher education. The pedagogical technology of formation of legal awareness of students at Teachers' Training Colleges is worked out.
