Essay

They have investigated the general regularities of water disinfecting with chlorine dioxide on model solutions. They have studied bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects on mesophilic microorganisms under the secondary disinfection of water and prolonged action under the secondary microbial contamination of water. The hygienic evaluation of chlorine dioxide use at different stages of the technological process of water treatment, secondary disinfection of potable water, preoxidation and postdisinfection of superficial aqueous sources, disinfection of underground water, oxidation and disinfection of water in the circulating systems has been done. The dependence of "dosage-termination-result" for the processes of disinfection and formation of chlorites has been learnt.
