Objekt: multigenre works representing the mentality of the 18th century Russian women and her stereotyped depiction by the then male writers. Aim: while analyzing the westernization processes in the 18th cent. Russian literature, to make clear the extent of their influence onto the genesis of Russian women's literature in its genre and thematic variety. Methods: cultural-historical, historical-epistemological, comparative, gender, system. For the first time there was made an effort of complex analysis of the 18th cent. Russian women's literature on the background of changes reacting to the westernization of culture. A set of little-known names and pieces of fiction was introduced into the scientific circulation. Approved in 18 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
