The dissertation is devoted to questions of development of ways of improvement of quality contouring shafts at sinking them with widening pilot raise with the help horizontal or inclined blast-holes and vertical long blast holes. In the dissertation operating conditions of charges are analysed at widening pilot raise in the intense breeds, the mechanism of action explosion of charges of explosives in strong monolithic and lowcracked breeds is specified. It is established, that the preliminary behaviour of cracks around charging cavities provides substantial growth of crushing intensity of rocks and radius of a zone of destruction. New technologies drilling-and-blasting works for sinking shafts with pilot raise widening from below are developed.
