Object: monosyllabic syntactical constructions of scientific style. The purpose - to clarify a communicative potential of the monosyllabic sentences and their role in adequate fixing of outcomes of scientific knowledge. Methods: functional - stylistic, descriptive. Theoretical significance: the results of research deepen study of stylistic syntax, expand and update fundamentals of scientific style. Practical value: the material of work can be used for writing textbooks and manuals on stylistics and syntax, they can help also literary editors of scientific and technical issuings. Novelty: for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the role of the monosyllabic sentences in sufficing for a communicative need of a scientific sphere is ascertained.
