Sergienko M. Diagnostics and Treatment of Delayed Puberty of Teenage Girls.

Object of the study: teen-age girls with delayed puberty. Purpose of the study: to improve the methods of diagnosis and treatment of delayed puberty in teen-age girls. Methods of the study: clinical laboratory, ultrasound, x-ray, ra-dioimmune methods for determining gonadotropic and steroid hormone concentration, statistical methods. Theoretical and practical results: The use of the obtained data about the influence of hereditary factors, the course of the antenatal period, extragenital pathology on the development of delayed pu-berty allowed to define more exactly the scheme of forming risk group of SMR and to improve preventive measures in girls of dif-ferent ages. The use of echographic morphometry of the internal reproductive organs allowed to define more exactly the degree of severity of the pathology and the efficacy of treatment at the early stages. The suggested methods of treatment (cyclic reflexother-apy, therapeutic tea for stimulating sexual hormone function) are inexpensive and accessible.Their introduction into the work of Department of Children's and Adolescent Gynecology (Donetsk Regional Center for Protecting the Health of Mothers and Chil-dren), offices of children's and adolescent gynecology of the city and region allowed to increase the efficacy of SMR treatment. Index of uterine body development, which characterized the changes in the shape of the uterine body was sug-gested. New data about the hormonal state of teen-age girls with DP depending on the severity of the pathology and LH/FSH ratio were presented, a group of high risk of DP development and men-strual cycle disturbances was defined. The criteria of DP therapy efficacy were worked out with the account of the results of echo-graphic morphometry of the uterus. For the first time cyclic reflexotherapy (Patent No. 37917A) and therapeutic tea for stimulating sexual hormone function (Pat-ent No. 36346A) were suggested. The efficacy of different meth-ods of therapy was evaluated with the use of coefficients of in-crease in the length and thickness of the uterus.
