Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the displaying of the special features formation of architectural-landscape arrangement of country seat park complexes of Galychyna at the end of the XVIIIth - the beginning of the XXth centuries. Till our days he attention was concentrated only on the separate preserved objects. The total number of complexes with cultural landscape remained unexplored as popular phenomenon in the regional architecture. The methodology of the investigation consists in use of chosen methods not to the separate objects but to the whole amount of them. The investigation is based on searching and studying the documental archive sources. The country seat park complexes of Galychyna at the end of the XVIIIth and the middle of the XIXth centuries are displayed in the work and arranged into register. The factors that influenced their formation are determined. The analysis of country seat park complexes location gave an opportunity to make the division into districts and to mark the stage of the development. The directions of country seat park complexes evolutionary formation and their reflection on the object's architectural-landscape arrangement are defined. The functional parts of the complex and the principles of their combining are investigated. The dependence of architectural-landscape arrangement upon the relief type is analysed. The arrangement types of the park as one of the main parts of country seat park complex are explored in the work. The research of the park is based on studying of its forms and elements and the principles of their combining. It is determined that the landscape of country seat park complexes of Galychyna was developing on the basis of formed joint experience of cultural landscape arrangement principles which had been approved and spread throughout European countries at the time of prosperity of local country seat construction. The proper use of the construction and the nature characteristics formed the basis for special features of Galychyna cultural landscapes. The features of Galychyna regional park building school are formulated in the dissertation. The recommendations on functional and planning organization of historical territories of country seat park complexes with different stages of preservation are given in the work. The country seat park complexes that were the most stable during their existence and their cultural landscape was forming on the basis of natural structure elements are recommended for the renovation. Also the best samples of country seat park architecture of Galychyna at the end of the XVIIIth - the beginning of the XXth centuries with regular, scenery and combined arrangement are determined. The conclusions of the work may be used as the basis for the resolution about the protection of the historical territories of former country seat park complexes and as recommendations for design of new objects that have got similar function to the country seat park complex.
