Essay

In dissertational work theoretical and methodological positions of studying of political functions of church are generalized and profound, their transformation in a historical retrospective shown. And also it is shown in a context of modern process of becoming of statehood in Ukraine. It is shown, that influence of church on political process is not settled only by ideological influence. The religious factor in modern conditions plays a significant role in maintenance of legitimacy of institutes of political authority and political leaders. As a whole, efficiency of legitimating processes depends on scale of base of social support. In this case from ability of church as social and spiritual institute of authority's legitimating to form the positive attitude to undertaken political actions in mass consciousness. The condition of clerical-political interaction, processes in this sphere, can not only provide stable political management in a society, but also are capable to counteract, block and, even to destroy bases of this management. In work is carried out the analysis of spiritual and valuable potential of church and opportunities of its realization in the state construction are revealed. Activity of church is simultaneously investigated as the political subject, all sides of church conflicts are considered and on the basis of available knowledge, the system of measures on questions of regulation of state-church interaction is offered.
