Bondarenko Y. Surgical treatment of thyroid carcinoma with laryngeal-tracheal invasion

The dissertation is devoted to decision actual problem on treatment of patients with locally advanced thyroid carcinoma with laryngeal-tracheal invasion - improvement of immediate and late results of the surgical treatment using thyroidectomy combined with laryngeal-tracheal resection. Thyroidectomy with so called "shaving" of the trachea or larynx was made in superficial involvement in 97 (60,6 %) patients, 21 (13,1 %) patients underwent thyroidectomy combined with laryngeal-tracheal resection, in 42 (26,3 %) patients were done palliative procedures. According to the results of that work were elaborated the algorithms of pre-operative examination and surgical treatment of thyroid carcinoma with laryngeal-tracheal invasion.
