Essay

The dissertation devotes to the problem of the treatment of inguinal hernia. The method of hernioplasty of inguinal hernias with a polypropylene mesh was proposed that has allowed to decrease the edema of the scrotum and spermatic cord, the incidence of hematoma and seroma formation in the postoperative wound and reduce the hospital stay. We have developed modification of the peritoneal suture in ТАРР. In the postoperative period, we have observed edema of the scrotum and spermatic cord , hematoma and seroma. Conversion from laparoscopic to open hernioplasty - 2,4 % patients. In laparoscopic hernioplasty, the hospital stay was reduced by 3,2 times, in comparison with open hernioplasty with mesh. Recurrence of hernia after autoplasty - in 10,9 % of patients; after laparoscopic hernioplasties - in 1,6 %; no recurrence were observed after open hernioplasty with mesh.
