Object: production in the agricultural enterprises of all patterns of ownership in the Sumy area. The purpose: the substantiation of the concept of system engineering of regional maintenance the population by the foodstuffs and development of a complex is organizational - economic of measures directed on reorganization of production of main food cultures in region. A method: monographic, abstract - logic, statistical, comparisons, economic-mathematical. Outcomes: allow to decide the scientific task concerning improvement the use of a food potential of region is organizational - economic of the mechanism of management of efficiency. Novelty: concept of a food potential for the first time is formulated and the algorithm of an evaluation of food stability(resistance) of region as a basis for definition(determination) of its socio economic potential is offered; the mechanism of systematization of various kinds of agricultural production in conditional is offered; The essence of a potential food potency ofregion is certain(determined) and is developed it regressive a model; a technique of an evaluation of an economic potential of food maintenance of region for the first time is offered; the model of optimization of volumes of production.
