Essay

The work is devoted to a problem of diabetes mellitus in during gestation. The data of clinical research have revealed a high level of complications in pregnancy, labor, puerperal period, and also violations of fetus and neonatal development. Morphological evaluation of placentas showed the dynamics of tissue structures of placenta, which reflect either compensatory-adaptational reaction of organ, or degenerative-dystrophic changes leading to it decompensation. The data of macroscopic, microscopic, histochemical and ultramicroscopic research of placenta, are joined in the common integrated system of an evaluation of morphofunctional state of an organ at diabetes mellitus in connection with the characteristics of state of the pregnant and neonatal. Of the basis of reseived results we designed and applied in the practice of public health the methods of prenatal diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of diabetes, that reduce level of perinatal morbidity and mortality.
