The scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in working out the methods and practical recommendations related to the development of business in the Ukraine and the improvement of motivation of business activity in market conditions. 1. The nature of business activity motivation in market economy was substantiated as a result of all - round examination of business activity in its consistency 2. Conceptual mechanism of the motivation factors was specified and new classification of social - economic fundamentals of motivation of business activity in market environment was suggested. 3. Methods of assessment of enterprise income as well as the assessment of the major factors negatively influencing the enterprise income. 4. Organizational and economic mechanism of government control over motivation processes and classification of functions of a businessman in the market environment was also improved. 5. The theory of business undertaking as to the new concept and content of business as such withdue regard to current market approaches and methods of regulation of economic processes was further developed.
