The process of the students' practical preparation at the higher technical educational establishments. The thesis deals with the regularities of the technical thinking in the professional activity, the theoretical approach is didactically determined to the development of the students' technical thinking at the higher educational establishments at the mechanical drawing lessons. The thesis didactically determines the conditions of the students' technical thinking at the drawing lessons. The thesis develops the criteria of the revaluation of the students' levels concerning the formation of the technical thinking in the process of the graphic activity. On the basis of the investigation results I've prepared the programmes "The technical drawing" and "The fundamentals of the drawing geometry and the engeneering graphics".
