Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of testicles spermatogenic function of white rats and a role of disorders of energy metabolism and free radical oxidation of biopolymers in the failure of spermatogenesis under the chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate. It has been found that under the chronic nitrate intoxication certain phase character is marked in dynamics of changes of mitochondrial oxidation and phosphorylation in testicles: on 14 day of intoxication - ascending of rate of endo-genic respiration energy potential, on 30 and 90 day - progressing decrease of energy potential, oppression of enzymes activity of respiratory chain. It was pointed out that in pathogenesis of uncoupling of mitochondrial oxidation and phosphorylation ADP in rats testicles the important role is played by formation of NO. In dynamics of chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate in testicles of white rats we observed the progressing augmentation of production of superoxide anion-radical by mitochon-drial and microsomal electron-transport chains. Morphological and morphometric methods have proved that the chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate results in de-velopment of dystrophical changes of spermatogenic epithelium and disturbances of microcirculation. The raised entering of sodium nitrate into organism of male rats re-sults in essential disorders of embryo- and fetogenesis of female mated with them. Sphere of usage: pathophysiology, toxicology, andrology.
