Dissertation investigates the theoretical and practical problems of immunity. The main attention is paid to defining immunity as institute of criminal procedure, classification of immunity's forms, determining its nature and purpose. Dissertation provides consideration the immunity of President of Ukraine, people's deputies, judges and others major officers, diplomatic, consul and others international immunities, immunity of witness. Several concrete principles for perfecting the immunity in general and legal status of subjects of immunity in criminal procedure are formed.
