Polivenok I. Thrombolytic therapy of pulmonary embolism

Generally, the work is based on the investigation of the influence of thrombolytic therapy on the course and outcomes of acute pulmonary embolism (PE) for 184 patients. With the purpose of improvement of outcomes in patients with PE, the accelerated regimen of thrombolytic therapy - infusion of 1,5 millions U of streptokinase during 60-90 minutes was proposed and investigated. It was determined that accelerated regime of thrombolytic therapy makes it possible to reduce hemodynamic anomaly of PE much more quickly (during the first 24 hours) in comparison with standard regime. Therewith, accelerated regimen of thrombolytic therapy is not less effective and safe than standard, for patients with PE accompanied with disfunction of the right ventricle. And for patients with massive PE the accelerated regimen of thrombolytic therapy allows to decrease the hospital mortality about 42,1%.
