Drobakha L. National Cultural Specificity of Birds' Names in Ukrainian and German

The dissertation studies national language pictures of the world. Comparing the words with regard to their semantic marking the component of the sememe's semantic structure, i.e. the shade of meaning, was taken into account. The differences between the semantic volume and content of the subject and logical component of lexical meanings were also revealed in the words. The analysis of lexical units' semantic relations was performed. According to the way and source of nomination the corresponding words with the identical and different meaning of stems have been defined. The words' inner form and typical word-formative ways analysis being performed. The study of the words' metaphoric meaning formation and comparative study of the proverbs containing the names of birds reflected the figurative world perception in the analysed languages.
