Essay

The main features of corrected gyro-compass (CGC) such as "Cruise", based on dynamically tuned gyroscope are investigated. Its mathematical model is designed, the features of CGC errors called by differences of Cardano suspension kinematics, by the type of the used gyposcope, features of the operation, as contrasted to conventional schemes of CGC are investigated. The block diagram of CGC control loop, that realize automatic change of CGC operating modes with respective alteration of parameter values is designed. The technique of a choice of CGC control loop parameters is designed, which permit essentially to decrease CGC dynamic errors with increasing of its operating speed. Thus the choice of both main specifications of CGC control loop, and additional specifications that determine a CGC work as two-mode heading instrument (gypo-compass / gypo-azimuth) is substantiated.
