The methods and algorithm have been developed for conducting soil-chronological research in the Crimea, characteristic changes of different age soils with the course of time have been investigated; the capacity of humus horizon, profile morphology, their physical and physi-cal-chemical characteristics. Some mathematic models have been suggested, related to power and speed of humus horizon formation, and water-dividing soils are described by the quantity of energy consumption for the soil formations.
