Object of the study: unstable angina pectoris. Purpose: Improvement of quality of life and decreasing of mortality In patients with unstable angina pectoris due to the optimization of diagnostics, prediction of clinical course and efficacy of lipid - lowring and antithrombotic agents combination therapy. Methods of investigation and equipment: clinical, laboratory, biochemical and instrumental investigations Equipment: spectrophotometer, monitoring blood preasure and 24 hrs ECG, tools for biochemical investigation, ultrasonic monitor. Theoretical and practical results: The clinical, laboratory and instrumental features of unstable angina pectoris were determined. The purposefulness of the 24 hrs ECG and BP monitoring at the beginning of hospitalization has been shown. It is usefull to identify the factors of unfavourable close and long-term prognosis. According to analysis of factors that influence the efficacy of lipid - lowring and antithrombotic agents combination therapy optimal treatment regimensincluding administration of simvastatin and aspirin and thienopyridins were grounded and statistically validated. It has been proved that these effects of simvastatin are independent on the initial level of blood serum cholesterol. Degree of introduction: The results were introduced into the cardiology and therapy departments of the clinical hospital N26, N8 of Kharkiv, therapy and reumathology departments central city clinical hospital of Lutsk, therapy departments of regional clinical hospitals of Balakliya and Lozova, cardiology and therapy departments of the Institute of Therapy of Kharkiv.
