Essay

The results of operative treatment of 203 patients suffering from endometriosis have been analysed in the paper. In addition to the clinical assessment of the treatment results there were applied pathophysiological methods of research - the measuring of stress-associative hormones (prolactin and cortisol) as well as the assessment of the degree of the organism systems tension with the help of cardiointervalography method. There has been developed a personal technique of laparoscopy treatment for Douglas' cul-de sac endometriosis. On the basis of the obtained findings there has been developed a medical algorithm of differentiated application of laparoscopy and "open" surgery.
