Essay

The thesis suggests a new integrated approach to the study of paremiological units in Japanese, Ukrainian, English and Russian. Based on the latest results in contrastive phraseology, lingual-cultural study, semiotics and theory of conceptual analysis, a logical-semiotic and topical classification of the paremiological units chosen for comparison has been elaborated as well as their paradigmatic ties have been revealed. A comparative and typological analysis of the paremiological units with a national culture semantic component in Japanese, English, Ukrainian and Russian has been performed based on a logical-semiotic and topical classification. This enabled us to define topical, phraseological-semantic and form-formative groups of paremiological units with regard to their reference to certain conceptospheres and semantic oppositions. These served a basis for reconstructing archetypical model of the world in its anthropocentric, cosmoplanetary, mythological dimensions and classifying both the paremiological analogs and equivalents as well as for making a typolological classification of the non-equivalent ethnic-cultural gaps and asymmetric culturally-biased phraseological units in Japanese
