The object - the metaphor "home" and the sign "code home" in the philosophy of culture and culturology. The aim - making up the semiotical model of evroculture, which gives the development of the homebuilding reception. Methods - a complex of cognitive methods, among of which the hermeneutical approach, method of cultural and historical reconstructions and semiotic analysis. Theoretical results and their novelty - the semiotical model has been developed; it gives the opportunity to follow the development of homebuilding reception of the European culture in synchronically and diachronically entity and to identify people's mentality of definite periods of the European culture.
