Essay

This work is based on analysis of blood lipid peroxidation and lipid profile in elderly hypertensive patiens and to the methods of their correction.Significant intensification of lipid peroxidation with depression of antioxidant enzymes was noted in middle-aged and elderly hypertensive patiens which are shown to be connected with disturbances in blood lipid prifile. Oxidative stress appeared to be correlate with parameters of vegetative regulation and systemic and intracardial hemodynamics. Antihypertensive treatment with drugs (irbesartan and enalapril with hydrochlorthyazide) as well as enalapril and hydrocnhlorthyazide in combination with plantal antioxidant flamicar demonstrate marked antioxidant effect and positive influence on morphofunctional state of cellular membranes. An application field is a clinical medicine. The results have been applied in practice of medical institutions.
