Pidvalna H. Geographic and Genetic Peculiarities of the Humus Condition of Pasmove Pobuzhzhya Podzolic Soils.

The humus condition of different subtypes of Pasmove Pobuzhzhya podzolic soils, its changes under the impact of agricultural use has been researched. Calcium humates accumulation in illuvial horizons is recommended to be considered one of the main diagnostic features of podzolic soils. The agricultural cultivation of podzolic soils caused insignificant decrease of the humus content, increase of the gross nitrogen, humus humating and calcium humates content, decrease soil's profiles differentiation according to the qualitative humus composition, better structurating of the molecules. The dynamics of the humus content in the Pasmove Pobuzhzhya soils for 40 years has been studied. Geographic and genetic peculiarities of the humus condition of Pasmove Pobuzhzhya podzolic soils have been discovered. The classification of soils according to the levels of the humus content indices in the soils of Pasmove Pobuzhzhya has been worked out.
