Pryymak V. System Approach to the Trade Company Management

This study is focused on theoretical, methodological and organizational aspects of formation and improvement of the management system at trade utility during transition period of Ukrainian economy employing systematic approach. Basing on generalization and classification of systematic thinking experience, author has substantiated theoretical fundamentals of systematic method and approach to the company management; theoretically validated distinctively new methodology of social/economic systems analysis as complex systems and developed mechanism of system-to-system interface; generalized and verified interrelated and self-consistent set of systematic approach principles. Analytic conclusions of systematic methodology enabled analysis of particular applications of systematic approach to the management of Ukrainian trade companies. Proceeding from the principles of systematic approach to the management, a system of external/internal impact analysis factors has been elaborated, which is decisive for both creation/improvement of the effective management system and company's operation in general. Such system of impact analysis factors allowed the following: to evaluate the existing environment of company's operation at macro- and micro-levels with due consideration of to-date social and economical situation in Ukraine; to study parameters of management systems' functioning in Ukrainian trade companies. Resulting from theoretical and practical studies by means of systematic approach, guidelines and recommendations to improve trade company management have been outlined, namely: company management and governance models were developed for trade utilities using modeling tools according to the international management standards; management optimization procedure was elaborated for trade company based on the cash flow model; major list of trade-specific business processes was compiled and relevant type structure of Management Information & Analysis System was suggested
