Krymkovskyy R. Promoting foreign direct investment in food processing industry of Ukraine

The object is current trends in Ukraine's food branches development, organizational and economic conditions, mechanisms and determinants of foreign investment. The aim is to improve theoretical and methodical approaches to investigating foreign investment inflows and to explain proposals of creating favourable economic environment for enhancing cross border investment in food industry of Ukraine. Methods of research are comparative and factor analysis, system approach, statistical and econometric analysis and forecasting. Novelty consists in following: the existing classifications of forms and mechanisms of attracting attracting foreign investment were updated , the analysis of food processing branch-specific determinants of foreign direct investment has been conducted, the scenario of foreign investment inflows to Ukraine's food processing has been proposed , suggestions on developing Trade & Investment Program has been made, the expediency of giving a priority to the mechanism of creating jointventures in terms of it's highest efficiency has been observed and proved. The rate of implementation of the conducted research consists in using it's results by the State Food Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine as well as in teaching at the Uman State Agrarian Academy.
