Essay

Object - secondary electrical feeders and self - annealing electrodes of electric furnaces for production of ferroalloys. Objective - optimization of parameters of the secondary electrical feeders according to the criteria of symmetry of electrodes temperature fields and minimum electrical impedance of electrical feeders. Methods - physical experiment, theoretical analysis and calculations, mathematical simulation, mathematical statistics. Devices - equipment of industrial production, which are inspected by metrologies. Novelty - the procedure of selection of an optimal configuration of secondary feeders; the mathematical model of secondary electrical feeders; the conditions of symmetry of a temperature field of electrodes have been defined and designed for the first time. Results - theoretical fundamentals and methods of calculations of parameters of secondary electrical feeders and conditions of electrodes maintenance have been designed too; the constructions of secondary electrical feeders which ensure the symmetry of a temperature field of an electrode also have been worked out; the procedure of engineering calculations has been designed. Usage - Stachanov factory of ferroalloys; efficiency - decrease of expenditure of an electrode mass, improvement of power indexes. Area - electrical engineering, electrometallurgy.
