Are developed and the plasma generators by a potency from 500 up to 1000 kW with the plasma cathode are researched, which one can work with resource of the cathode more than 1000 hours, i..e. the problem on creation of a new type high performance, the high service life of a plasma generator is resolved. For the first time is created and the segmented plasma cathode is researched thet on the order and is lower than the known data, but also in a medium of other gases, including, and air, without magnification of erosion of his details. The theoretical formula for account of an electric field strength in the channel of the plasma cathode with a laminal flow of gas, and also criteria dependences and generalized schedules is obtained.
