Essay

The subject of the dissertation is aesthetics and poetics of M.Orest and I.Kachurovsky - the followers of the Kyiv Neoclassics (M.Zerov, M.Rylsky, M.Dray-Khmara, P.Fylypovych and Yuriy Klen) in poetry as well as the theorists of ukrainian Neoclassicism. The historical part of the research exposes the role of both "younger Neoclassics" in the forming of the Neoclassical stream in ukrainian literature. Their main aesthetic principles are aesthetism, based on the idealist conception of Beauty as sensuous embodiment of Good and Truth, artism, traditionalism, the conception of art's autonomy. In process of artistic creation Orest and Kachurovsky take into consideration both rational and irrational factors.The comparative analysis of Orest's and Kachurovsky's individual poetics is carried out on the levels of iconics, stylistics, stylistics of verse (metrics, phonics, strophics) and generics (science of genres).
