Essay

The processes of morphogenesis were investigated in sugar beet tissue in vitro using 14 Ukrainian and foreign cultivars. Methods were developed; spontaneous and induced regeneration from various explants and callus were studied; the media composition was optimized to maximize the number of regeneration. Developed regeneration methods were used to trans-form sugar beet via Agrobacterium tumefaciens and participle bom-bardment.
