The questions of automating the multi-component and distributed database applications development are examined in the thesis for the case of complicated data structures. The methods of specification, extraction, representation, visualization and processing the semantically related networks of entities or objects are proposed. Visual language for the network specification by example is developed. Its completeness is proved. The algorithm for translation the language in an SQL-like language of nesting DBMS is proposed. Complex specification of graph application prototype and the graph prototype based application development/reengineering technique are developed on its base. The technique is implemented and tested in the process of development of multiple applications.
