Object of investigation. The technology of rolling-splitting by method of controlled break. The work goal is development of optimal decisions for rolling-splitting technology design which permits to spread out an assortment and increase the effectiveness of production. Methods of investigation. Theoretical: the R- functions methods use is worked up for construction of cinematic-possible metal velocity fields attached to rolling in multi-groove passes of complex shape. Solution of variation equation by numeral methods allowed to get regression dependencies for forming parameters calculation of rectangular bar attached to rolling in four-element forming passes with nonsymmetrical grooves. On the base of mathematical method of multi-strand stock- rolls interaction forces analysis in deformation hearth of splitting pass a mathematical split-process model by controlled break is got, allowing to determine the bridge break conditions, forming parameters and stock sizes after splitting. Experimental and statistics methods are used for laboratory three groove of rolling-splitting tests and for approximation of table data. Principals of mathematical models building for stress-strain conditions of metal deformed in special multi-groove pass have been developed. The new experimental data about the features of splitting process in triple-groove passes have been obtained. A computer optimization algorithm of temperature-speed merchant bars routine is worked up. It takes in account parameters as well classic elongation, as special multi-groove passes. Area of application - merchant bar rolling mills. The technology of double-groove rolling-splitting of rebars №8 and №10 were put into practice at the KGGMK "Krivorogstal" SS 250-1 and "EMZ" 280 mills.
