Minchak H. Connotative semantics of the modern ideologically marked nominative units (in Ukrainian press of the 1990s of the XX century)

This dissertation offers a new complex approach to the study of connotative semantics of ideologically marked nominative units in the Ukrainian language of post-Soviet period. On the basis of the theory of language nomination we single out the ideological lexico-semantic field in the national ideological usage comparing to the one in the communist ideological usage. We highlight the structural and semantic changes in the connotative macrocomponent of ideologically marked nominative units. It has been found out that language contrasts are the main means of intensification of the changes of connotative semantics of ideologically marked nominative units in Ukrainian press of the 1990s.
