The dissertation examines theoretical and methodical problems of the research of the Ukrainian voluntary medical insurance market as a basis for the development of efficient marketing strategies for the domestic insurance companies. The basic methodical recommendations concerning the voluntary medical insurance market research are developed. Multi-factor methods of determining the consumers' needs and motivation are summarized and adapted to modern conditions of the national voluntary medical insurance market, and are used as the basis for working out the optimum services of voluntary medical insurance. A procedure of monitoring the consumers' attitude to the quality of voluntary medical insurance services is proposed.
