Object of research: process of improvement of functioning of the consumer market in Ukraine. The purpose: a substantiation of the theoretical-methodological and practical approaches to development of mechanisms of formation of the market of the foodstuffs in transitive economy of Ukraine. Methods: system and complex analysis, comparative analysis, economical-statistical modeling, logic generalizations. Are offered: a technique of forecasting is brave of an irrational meal; mechanisms of formation of the market of the foodstuffs; techniques of a rating of economic availability of the foodstuffs for the buyers and sufficiency of its consumption; the computer programs of a rating of parameters of economic availability of the foodstuffs, zones is brave of consumption. Sphere of use: the enterprises and educational process.
